I know I only had my last journal up for... a day... but tonight I feel inspired to notify those who watch me of who exactly they're watching. XD Here's my opinion on several current events. Please pardon my spelling, grammar, and general sentence structure. It's late in my next of the woods.
1. The Korean "Missile Crisis"
I know no-one is calling it that yet, but I know someone will. I figured I'de coin the phrase now. IMHO, there's no big problem here. Korea has limited missiles, even fewer nukes, and no functional combination there-of. And even if they did, the only US protected areas that would be at risk from their missiles are already under limited missile-defence, and probobly have plans to get an upgrade.
This is purely an attention getter for the Midget-king of N-Korea, and no real threat to anyone.
2. The Iranian Protests.
First off, yes, I support the protesters, what they're doing is a wonderful thing and should be a lesson to everyone (including us) that people must take charge when their rights are taken from them. HOWEVER, whenever I state that I, as an American, supprt the protesters, I weaken them. Neither side of those protests really like America, and in point of fact a majority of Iranians dislike America because they percieve us as having tried to interfear with their government. The best way for us to help the Iranian people, is to let them help themselves, do not take action, and make as few gestures as possible. Every step we take towards "Helping" them, simply adds more amunition to akmadugifidgherw's political weaponry.
3. MJ's death
Good artist, questionable man. Let the fans and family mourn, but we as a nation and world have bigger problems right now. His death is not news, stop filling news sites and news papers with the story.
4. Obama's birth certificate
Really people, honestly, you're still up in arms about that? IT'S AGAINST HAWAIIAN STATE POLICY TO SURENDER ORIGENAL BIRTH CERTIFICATES! Hawaiian state officials have confirmed that he's a US citizen, whoever is in charge of vetting presidential candidates confirmed that he's a US citizen, and the people of the united states cinfirmed that even if he ISN'T a US citizen, we still want him as our fucking president. You had 4 years of Bush where he wasn't even ELECTED, and another 4 that are questionable, STFU about the damn certificate already.
That's all for now, have a great one!
